This work is my first project of Design104 (Intro to computers for designers) at Victoria University. I had a few problems with this project because of the programs I had to use. I was assigned to use programs such as UT2004 Editor, Photoshop and Dreamweaver. However, I had never used all of those programs before that made my project more difficult. But through the use of these programs this project allowed me to create two different rooms and one corridor.
One room is called normal room and the other called mutant room. I tried to represent order and disorder in the rooms and also the process of change from order to disorder in the corridor.
My precedent of this project was Herzog and de Meuron’s Tate Modern Library Building. This particular building had been built from two materials that consisted of cast glass and brick blocks. The use of these materials were an inspiration for the different rooms of my design as the cast glass was relevant to the universal and spatial atmosphere of the mutant room and also the brick blocks were relevant to the forest-like atmosphere of the normal room.
